Business

Travis- asked how was everyone’s grade. He reminded everyone to keep his or her grades up. He also mentioned if anyone is at risk with their grades to come up to Kevin, Travis or Ryan if they cannot be in student council.

Ryan- asked student council members to stand up if any one participated “ Cartoon Day”. He also asked, “ Who hyped up this event?”

William- he talked about the tragedy that happened in the Bronx. He just wanted to thank the people who lost someone in the tragedy that they have the strength to be here and continue with their lives. He also mentioned the word of the day “ SPECIALIZE” which means some one who is an expert at something.

Kevi- thanked everyone who participated in cartoon day.

Dance committee- they talked about their approval date for the “ Funky School Supplies Sale”. They also estimate money for the senior trip.

Senior committee- Talked about the prom party being successful. Almost all the seniors put in 15 dollars for their prom.

Junior committee- counted up the money for the raffle. Also doing the triangle hype. They are also going to work with PAC committee for cultural awareness week.

PAC committee- talked to William about hyping up the campaign. Also talked about the prizes and trying to get the “ Get Fresh Campaign” back on track. They also might talk to Theo about doing community service.

Spirit committee- talked about three events that they want to hype up “Color Week”, “80’s Day”, and Ice Cream Day.

Prayer: prayed that Hawa’s family would be okay. Hope that they will stand back on their feet

Business;
Ryan: Since it’s a good weather we should go out to the park sometime and have some fun. But since the attendance isn’t as good we should need to come to class more

Travis; Asked about the Luck of Irish Week raffle. He would participate by buying some raffles. Junior committee should try to hype up the sale more using the triangle of hype. Junior Committee would be selling raffles today around elective time to have more people participate. Dance committee asked about their sale and talk to Siu or Trevor about future dances. There should be no negative attitude in student council.

William: Junior Committee has been very energetic with their sales with the raffle and IPOD Shuffle. Great idea that the dance committee came up with, school supply sale and that it should be a tradition. The PAC committee should hype up their event more because it has started and no one seems to be participating as much. As for Hawa tomorrow there would be a fundraising and donation for all the loss and damage being done. Any donations would be good. Make donations to Terrell and the school would find a way to support the families who lost their lost ones. Advisories and Student council will be making a card for Hawa to make her feel better and to let her know the school is thinking about her making sure she’ll feel better.

PAC Committee: The Get Fresh Campaign. They need to promote the event and go around advisories to introduce this event and hype it up. The winner / floor will receive a pizza party and they will need some volunteers to help introduce this event by going around hallways and floors. They will also be stopping by advisories and give floors feedbacks about how they are doing so far

Dance Committee: Approval of school supply sale.  Selling pen and pads. They made their flyers and looking for senior trips.

Senior Committee: Get ready for Pay for Prom party that’s coming up. They are talking about having a fundraiser during the party to make more money. Talked about senior trip and plan that they’ll have the trip around May or April. They also plan maybe to have a food sale during Parent teacher conferences

Junior Committee: Went around and sale tickets. They sold several already. Already sold 50 something tickets. They should hype it more and that whoever donated money to buy the IPOD should get their money back due to Siu’s opinion. Announcing winner on Friday. Talk to Siu about getting money back

Paul: Everyone should also sign names for Hawa’s card.

Travis- apologized about his absence. He also mentioned about him and Ryan “chill’n” a lot. He reminded student council if any one leaves to not forget to say good-bye

Ryan- asked if there are any sales this month? If there are any sales to get them done.

William- introduced a program in Washington D.C. For a leadership program. He is also very impressed with the junior committee because they are getting things done and their committee is looking good.

Annabelle- introduced her new assistant manager “ Fannie” and also mentioned that she will be checking binders again.

Dance committee- selling notepads and pencils. Should try to hype up their sale using the Triangle of Hype.

Senior committee- talked about pay for prom party (P for P.) Made personalized invitations. Entry is 15$. There are 67 seniors whom will be coming but they want to make sure that everyone is going. If you pay 75$ you can go through the VIP section if you pay $15 you go through the back door entrance. Decision of weather to have the Senior Committee to stay in the senior council room or have it to be in Rachel’s room where the Prom Committee is at. Talk to Rachel next week.

Junior committee- made flyers approved by William for a raffle event in March 12.

PAC committee- Get fresh Campaign is starting. Announcement is tomorrow. Volunteers are needed for walking around classes to hype this event up

Travis- he asked student council who is going to participate in the senior bake sale and who bought any valentine’s gift for Valentines Day.

Ryan- asked student council, “ Do you guys know that they will be a snow storm this week?” He also mentioned to student council that the schedule might be not as usual so try to get as much work done as possible.

William- he shouted out dance committee for their hard work for the Valentine’s Day gig. He also asked student council where could everyone get a hold of each other. Email, phone number or even screen name. We need to make sure that we are in communication and get work done.

Senior committee- discussed the bake sale, an honor roll meeting, the senior trip, the senior prom, and they also went to Rachel’s prom committee to find out any updated dates

Dance committee- they went to 125th street to buy candy for the valentine’s card and candy sale for Valentine’s Day.

PAC committee- discussed prizes for “get fresh campaign” and they also went over the event approval sheet.

Junior committee- they filled out the event approval sheet for their future Easter basket sale and also discussed about wanting to have a raffle.
